You know, it could be pretty funny to make a circus size tent "quilt" out of our old clothes. What a NSV! To donate to the tent quilt!

Hey, I can identify. I have a cat named Mouse (and one named Minnie that looks exactly like him). And if I ever get a Great Dane, I plan on considering Miss Kitty as a name.

i have kitty name Man O' War!

LuvShihTzus....

I see you lurking. Shih Tzu lovers are absolutely required to post. They are not permitted to lurk.

I adore Shih Tzus... my favorite breed!

Oh, WASA, I wasn't ignoring you. I had been reading this thread before I left work yesterday and left it up. This thread is HI-LARE-EE-US! I have gotten many great tips from this board over the last few months, but this one just makes me laugh.

Shih Tzus are by far the cutest dogs ever (with the possible exception of Yorkies). Love your little dog bed, but my baby has to sleep in my bed.

SHIH TZUS RULE!!!!!

Cindy

Oh my God Romeo is the cutest thing. What a handsome boy!!! I have a papillion, Cody, and an australian shepard, Jinx. Neither one has a bed, they chew them. Cody sleeps on my bed, though.

How are those bouncing meatballs? I hate ketchup.< /p>

You know what KILLS me? People make threads, supposedly asking for any opinions or feedback that people might have, but all they really want is someone to agree with their position. They get really pissy whenever someone posts with an opinion that they don't like. They've already decided what they are going to do, they just want to have one or two people say, "Oh, you're right, that's a wonderful decision." They don't want to hear, "Maybe you should rethink what you are wanting to do, it might not be such a good idea." They see that and go off the deep end. Suddenly, you aren't sharing your opinion or giving feedback like the OP posted about wanting, you're attacking them.

Oh, I should mention. The pooch bed has become a decoration, the Shih Tzu has two feather pillows she sleeps on... in our bed.

Same with the poodle.

Laurend - I've posted on that before. It's one of my pet peeves. If you're just looking for someone to validate what you're saying, then be up front about it and let us know before we waste our time giving you a thought-out answer.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
