As I pointed out before, there are places for the new people to go right on the main board called frequently asked questions and

Abbreviations and what they mean. When I was thinking about getting banded, I didn't break into the middle of a thread and start asking questions non related to the thread.

I went to the appropriate place and did my research.

wow, you really are very paranoid aren't you? In almost every post I read from you I am discovering that everything I herd about you is true.

I don't buy your little speach either. You are not required to answer newbies questions. i think you should let someone else who is better at dealing with people assist them.

If I read your posts right, you believe it is acceptable to answer a newbie's question then come straight to this thread and make fun of the very questions they ask. That is exactly what you have done. You are not required to answer newbie questions. This isnt your job. Maybe it is your LIFE but it isnt your job.

I feel so very sorry for you. I bet you have a housefull of cats too dont you?

Honestly people, I know I asked some silly questions when I first got banded (and probably do still)! I can read these and laugh, looking back now at myself. I really think it is in good fun and shouldn't be taken as being mean or hurtful. It is meant to be humorous, and we were all there at one time. I am really enjoying this and I don't feel it is at the expense of someone vulnerable. Remember, I included myself in there as well, so I guess you could say I am also making fun of me. Sit back, read, and get a good chuckle. I am.

Hi,

I'm new here and was wondering if someone could tell me what a pb is and is slime the stuff you buy the kids at Walmart and if so am I suppose to eat that for my Vitamins. Oh, so confused. Hope someone can help me. Also, let me make sure I've got this right, I can still drink my case a beer a day if I let it breath first, right? And keep it at 2 cups per vegetable per meal and one cup of meat. Does this mean I'm being a good bandster. Please help.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
