Thought you might get a kick out of that! :)

Totally off subject - I can't wait to go see Julie and Julia (?other way around?)

I remember when her book came out (Julie's - I'm not that old!) and she was on the Today show - I was impressed that she had cooked all those recipes - woman after my own heart - except that I could not have been restrained enough to follow them all through - would have to play around too much!

Wish al my cooking buddies were closer and I could go see it with you all!

Ok, you all have been busy so...

I just wanted to share something. I bought some really freakin great athletic shoes. I'm sure most of you have heard of em already since this IS a health related website. It's called Skechers Shape Ups. They are really badass! I did only one mile in them and I feel like I did 3!!!:eek::eek: Loving it! I haven't that great since I used to run. I miss it so much! :tt1:

I have two pair of those shoes! I have an all black pair that I wear everyday to work and an all white pair that I haven't worn yet. I love them!

i shouldn't complain - but my outter thighs could stand a bit of Lipo, since all the squats in the world isn't working on that "blip".

i'll post a pic i took yesterday when DH said i looked good & didn't NEED lipo.....probably take it down later (in my laundry rm).

DIVA - i tried those on at dicks sporting good......they ARE heavy, how do you like them.???? i wouldn't mind the investment if i heard a few reviews...

ok - my one & only pic of me on this website (other than hidden avi:tongue:)

You are smokin' hot woman! I will not look like that even in my dreams!

From what I can see, your body looks smokin' Lulu!!

**Tap then looks down at her body and says, nope, you ain't there yet. sigh **

Me too Tap!

Luluc - I now might have to hate you and your little skinny toned arms too!

It's disgusting how good you look! :wink2:

**sends wine baskets to those on the pjtp thread**

thanks -

Is there more wine? I didn't get my glass!

:lol: And when I read it fast it was 'skinny toad arms'...and I thought, yes, they are about the diameter of a toads arm! Written in green because yes, I'm jealous!

:lol::lol:

Standing by with wine glass in hand....

Me too!

red or white fan????

Surprise me!

Wow, I thought I was in the clear. I mean, you're never here and it was buried! DRATS!! *ducks and runs for cover :tt2:

Omg, you look HAWT!!!!! :tt2:

What she said!

I was having to walk at LEAST two miles before I started to feel like I was doing any kind of workout. With these shoes I started to feel it from a quarter to half mile. They are great!

I have tracking my walking at work. On a slow day I am doing about 3.5 miles in my shape-ups.

Wish al my cooking buddies were closer and I could go see it with you all!

Wouldn't that be great!:smile2:

Beth, I know that you will do great in school. You have greater things ahead so going to school will help you to prepare.

Thanks, and I know. I had already decided a while back that this job would be the catalyst. I'm not really upset -- at least it wasn't another "thanks-but-no-thanks" letter. Those are harder to take.

What this DOES mean is some new work clothes are going back.

Awww you guys caught me on kind of a crappy day and almost reduced me to tears!! Thanks so much---I will say I might be able to teach some of you a few things....NOT to do!!!

We are off to my SIL's. Her DH, my BIL, lost his mom about 6 weeks ago, then a granddaughter 2 weeks later, and now he just lost his brother. So I have went on a cooking spree (tap you would be so proud of me!!!). I made a huge pot of green chile stew, with homemade tortillas, some sopapillas, and a chicken broccoli casserole, and some apple enchiladas---and for the kids some rice crispy treats. We are delivering it in a minute here, then we are going with Rick's brother and going out to eat!! No more cooking!!

I bought 7 new shirts today at JCPenney's. Feels kinda wierd to walk in and pick up Large shirts and know they will be fine. I know some of you (LU.....LU....LU....) probably did not need a large in the beginning! But I began in a 3-4X and am still a DD at 5"9" so a large is reasonable and makes me HAPPY!!!! I have just begun being able to buy tops and bottoms together. I prefer Junior bottoms, I am boy shaped, not much in the hip dept. but then I always had to keep going to womens for tops. Now I can buy in all one place again!

Well time to deliver food.

Oh yeah---heart your DD will love riding the pony! I told my DGD she could ride on her own at 5. She is 4.5 now, and I am regretting my words!!! Although she is ready and able. She has rode with me since she was months old. She loves the horses. My inlaws have a couple out there now and she wants on them sooooo bad!!!

BBL~~again, thanks for making my day Diva, you and g4e---made me feel awesome!

Please see the picture below I took of myself tonight:

I love it! That is exactly how I feel!

Oh, can't wait, more hot guy stories!

That's ok, they would have been too big soon anyway!

I agree!

We are off to my SIL's. Her DH, my BIL, lost his mom about 6 weeks ago, then a granddaughter 2 weeks later, and now he just lost his brother.

So, so sorry - that is rough.

I bought 7 new shirts today at JCPenney's. Feels kinda wierd to walk in and pick up Large shirts and know they will be fine.

That is the best feeling. I still feel weird and think that people are looking at me and saying "why is that fat lady shopping here".

Horses are so great for kids! My DD started riding when she was just 2 and loved it. Kind of a pain because we always had to lead her around, but she would wait and be patient most of the time. She got her first horse when she was in 4th grade and did 4-H, trail rode, and showed until 8th grade - Good responsibility for the kids! I loved being a horse mom!

So much loss is so hard to deal with. I will be keeping you and yours in my thoughts.

Really, there were too many clothes to have a true evaluation. There's a legit, medical site you can email naked pictures to and they'll give you objective opinions. I think it's treyswint.com or something like that.

Blush for me, please.

Why? Did you fart in the cubicle?

Back to TEXAS?? I was SO happy when I left!

I don't miss Texas.

What. The. Hell.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
