Nobody wants to see me and Don happy and people just make things up now about us its so stupid and I'm worried if it come across the bosses desk 1x to many I'm gonna be out a job..

A friend of mine had something similar happen to her. People were saying she and her boyfriend were doing it in the office and other nonsense! She eventually found another job and they got married.

Beth, thanks for answering my question. I think of EDs as things like binge eating and anorexia so I was kind of surprised to hear you say you were looking for a counselor who specialized in them. Just make sure you get one who understands WLS or they'll jump to all sorts of weird conclusions about stuff that is perfectly normal for us!

Hi Everyone. I hope you had a nice holiday weekend. I spent time playing in the dirt until the freakin rain started again....then I ws forced to do regular housework etc. That's just so wrong in the summer!!!

Now to catch up....

Beth - glad to hear you and the dog were both unscathed! Good luck on the interview.

SMS - Sorry to hear aobut your coworkers attitude. It seems somewhat bizarre to me, but as long as you and the man are good, then ignore the others. Why on earth would your coworkers have anything to say to your boss?

Mac - you conquered it? Yay!

Ebony - Sounds like you are having a good vacation...you deserve it.

Fanny - thanks for the pics! Such beautiful exotic (to me) birds.

G4E - sorry about the birthday party. Has no one ever heard of MANNERS? :tongue_smilie::cursing: If you are invited somewhere and cannot attend, you advise the person in advance...far in advance. Your poor GS! I wish that someone could do something about your pain...

RE get-together...it looks like June is the month most have identified. That may be a little problematic for me, but I won't know until the date is set. I would really like to meet you all so lets try to nail down a date.

OK everyone, time to start posting for the day.......

Actually that's a great idea I hadn't thought of. The woman I contacted before I went out of town wrote me on Saturday to say she is out on maternity leave but would give me some names of others who specialize in eating disorders.

And though I didn't do the binge eating the way my sis did (including the purging), I DID binge eat -- or eat too much. I used food to sedate myself, and I know that. Not only that, when I've been stressed (as I have been here lately), I've been turning to slider foods here and there. I realize that for me, restricting my stomach is not enough. I need to get to the core of what made me this way.

Beth-good luck at the interview! So sorry about the sunburn. Is there anything that you can do to ease the discomfort on your face?

Tap-hopefully we will be able to come up with a date that we can all do. I so want to meet all of you!

I would say drinking massive quantities of alcohol, but I think that's frowned upon before an interview. :tongue_smilie:

Actually it's a tad better than it felt. The shower helped with the blistered areas, though makeup just enhances the fact that there's an issue going on -- so I tried to go really light with just a tinted moisturizer.

My face looks like I either ran 10 miles or have high blood pressure -- except where my bangs mercifully kept the upper part of my forehead as white as snow. It looks ridiculous, but I just keep my bangs down. lol

Interviews, at work...what is wrong with these people? Don't they know that these things would be so much more enjoyable with a little libation?:tongue_smilie:

* ebony, sounds like your having a great time in FL - continue to enjoy!!

* beth, good luck on the interview

* fanny, great pics - how close are you able to get to those birds?

* get together, might want to think about may as a possibility - was 100+ most of june.....just a thought for those not use to that heat.

* sms, i met DH @ work as well. i mean really where was i going to meet someone working 80hrs of wk & traveling??? :tongue_smilie:

we never worked in the same group / had 2 different job functions / never shared a customer - but people are going to talk no matter what. you don't have any control over that - so my best advice is to ignore. ironically enough, the ones who "smack/talked" about us....were in shitty relationships and 3 are currently now divorced......it speaks to them - not you.

Well, I felt like the interview went well, but you know how that goes.

Interviewed with the office administrator and the paralegal who would be training me to help her. The business is growing and she needs assistance. They will train, which is GREAT, because it's a great way to get experience in this area without having to get schooling for it.

I felt like the administrator was all on board with me and showed a lot of enthusiasm, especially for my questions to them and my experience. The paralegal was a bit quiet, but I think it's because of a cultural thing more than that anything to do with me (she's Korean). I don't mean that to sound weird, it's just that sometimes it's just that way. She was just harder to read, and her communication with me was a bit stunted. Hopefully if I get the job I can follow her because I use lots of words. :)

Anyway, they said they might know something by the end of the week, and maybe there might be a second interview, but they haven't decided yet.

When I asked the agency if there have been others or if there are others yet to interview there, they said "there have been numerous interviews with that firm." Hmmm... I just look at it that they haven't found what they're looking for yet. They actually waited for me to come back from out of town for this interview, which I thought was great.

So... maybe I'll know by the end of the week!

*g4e, don't worry about complaining too much. We're concerned and worried for you. I'll be bitching again a little further down.

You didn't mention the job. Everything ok on that front?

I agree w/slim about people calling if they can't make it. Just not showing up, esp to a kids b-day party is just wrong!

And your DD needs to get some new friends!

*slim, don't worry about it, I don't have much of a "life" either! LOL!

*Fanny, such beautiful pics. You really do have a true talent.

*Ebony, sucks that they haven't gotten back to you yet! So glad you're having a great vacation! Second weekend of June works for me too.

*sms, just doesn't seem right. Can you have a serious sit down with the boss? Not a bitchfest but just a heads up that you've been hearing stuff that's not true and you're concerned.

*Beth, glad you had a good trip. Esp glad there were no dog bites involved as well! Prayers that you hear something soon on the job front.

*tap, I'm sorry it keeps raining on you!

*Lu, I can't remember what she smiles said about when she might be here, other than June. I hate the heat but other than Memorial Day weekend, May is already packed.

PJTP: Here I go again! Warning! DH has been working on our old jeep to get it running again, he put a new motor in it. Anyway, went to go get some parts in town and his truck wouldn't start! UGH! Thinks it's just the battery terminals b/c it was fine yesterday when he left work and drove home after it sat for 3 days. My truck is still in the shop. I'm hoping to know more on that this afternoon or tomorrow AM. Thank GOD we haven't sold the car yet. Otherwise we'd be in a heap of trouble!

On a good note. Had one empty container left in my garden and I've been trying to decide what to put in there. Went to the nursery today b/c I'd decided either a Jalapeno plant or herbs. Well, they were out of the peppers so I bought 5 herb plants to put in that pot. It'll be stuffed but whatever makes it thru the winter, I'll repot as they get larger. I bought Rosemary, Sage, Marjoram, Tarragon, and Chives! Almost bought Savory as well. I'm still thinking about that one. I'll plant them later this evening or in the AM when it's cooler.

Oops! Forgot I've got a load of laundry in the dryer. Better get those out! Have a great evening! TTFN!

Nice visit, but nice to be home and seeing familiar sights.

No issues with the dog, thank GOD, because that could have gotten ugly. However, I was always watching her to be sure that she wasn't thinking about it.

Beth...glad you had a good visit and uneventful with the dog.

Got some sun on Saturday and -- well, "some" is too tame a word. You OUGHT to see my face. And now I have dried blisters on my chin and alongside my nose. And my interview is in three hours.

So sorry about the sunburn. I am glad that the interview sounds promising. Here's crossing my fingers that you and Ebony Both get the jobs you want.

Just make sure you get one who understands WLS or they'll jump to all sorts of weird conclusions about stuff that is perfectly normal for us!

Good point Mac. Congrats on the hill.

Manners is something her friends lack.

End of May or beginning of June would be good. But whenever I will try to be there.

OK everyone, time to start posting for the day.......

Thanks, Will up date after quotes

You didn't mention the job. Everything ok on that front?

It is ok. I am thankful I have one with all my issues right now. It is only 15 hrs. a week though. I need more hrs.

I agree w/slip about people calling if they can't make it. Just not showing up, esp to a kids b-day party is just wrong!

Agree.

And your DD needs to get some new friends!

Yes I agree she needs new friends.

*slim, don't worry about it, I don't have much of a "life" either! LOL!

Whats a life? LOL:wink2:

*Fanny, such beautiful pics. You really do have a true talent.

Doesn't she though.

Wow you have really had the car trouble lately. Sorry to here that.

/QUOTE]

I spent all bloomin day at the ER. I came away with 3 prescriptions I can't afford and the knowledge that even if I lose the use of my arm and hand because of my back it is not a true emergency and they won't get a Dr. in to preform surgery. The hospitals social worker tried to find some avenues that I could take, but no go. I have to see a specialist in order to get the surgery. They can help with the hospital bills but that is it. So here I am still in the same boat as before going up there. I want to Thank You All for you kind words and prayers. I love you guys!

@luluc re "fanny, great pics - how close are you able to get to those birds?"

Thank you! Those were in the courtyard right outside the kitchen window. I was outside, sitting quietly on a chair and they were probably less than 15 ft away. I have a really good zoom in my new camera though.

*heartfire: Thank you, also! I do love my birds and love the scenery here, so it's hard to take a "bad" photo. I just love that one of the Silvereye in amongst the hibiscus leaves. He looks so fluffed up and cozy and sweet!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
