Tap-you are wonder woman! I don't know how you do it all!

i was thinking the exact same thing - but got tired after reading her post.

heading to the gym to spin the margaritas out of me - note to self: don't weigh yourself the morning after, puts ya in a pissy mood...

DO IT!!! DO IT!!! I'm at home in the rain too

I did it, and had a very nice afternoon off with my daughter.

Now for me. I know, I know, It's all about ME!!!!!!!!:blushing:

I got a JOB! yeay me! It's at a place I worked at before. They don't have any level caregiver that I am at so they are training me to the next highest level. i am a little concerned because of my back, hopefully I won't have to much lifting of patients. Training starts the 15th. 1st pay is I f I remember correctly the 26th? I will have to look. I haven't even told my kids yet! LOL. guess I need to call them and let them know.

That is awesome news!!!

I'm VERY psyched about this. I don't believe in fate, per se, but I DO believe in divine intervention and things happening for a reason. Had I been even a minute sooner or a minute later, I wouldn't have bumped into him. The pay I quoted is about $10,000 more a year than the job I was there to interview for, his office is closer to my home (and I swear to God just a stone's throw away from my LB doctor's office), about a mile from where ColoradoChick works, and he knows me and what I can do -- which, in THIS economy, may be what makes or breaks people in getting jobs. I have to sell myself, but not to the degree of selling oneself to people you don't know.

Wow, more great news, sounds to me like this was meant to be!

I have so much stuff I need to do today, but woke up, my lovely monthly visitor had arrived, I have a massive headache and feel just blah. Something tells me I am going to accomplish nothing. Oh well.

Hey Susan,

I meant to say that I am glad that things are working better for you and your DH. I know having to move out of your home isn't the best, but it would be a clean start.

Maybe not the best, but at the same time, it seems that it is.

Is it just me, or does it seem like some "force" out there is trying to teach some of us how to appreciate less? I know I feel that way over here... to appreciate the lesser th ings instead of the finer things -- bring us back to center.

It's certainly not a testament to those who are really scared and struggling, but for those of us who have to downsize and rid ourselves of some stressors, it just seems that way.

Okay, rant over. :blushing:

I agree with you Beth. I know that I have been taking a hard look to determine what is really needed as opposed to what we just wanted. Taking the time to appreciate our lives and not just the "stuff" that is in them.

I know for myself (and many others), the stressors have been trying to hold on to things we can no longer afford. If it's do-able without making things worse (i.e. bankruptcy or losing one's home outright), people don't realize that the stress can be eliminated (or greatly reduced) by lowering their expectations. I think what Susan and her husband are able to do will bring great relief to them, no matter how their marriage goes. You take away that one HUGE stressor, and things truly change.

I get salmon at costco and throw it in ziplock bags with Bernsteins Restaurant Italian or cheese Fantastico Salad Dressing.< /p>

Then I saute it in a pan on the stove with some Water, butter, and all of the salad dressing.

It is delicious and my kids gobble it down too. Once word of caution - I cook it up the same day that I buy it, or the next day. Otherwise its starts smelling fishy which we all dislike.

If I have a lemon around, I squeeze it on it while its sauteing in the pan, and my daughter likes it squeezed on after its cooked.

Ingredients: Salmon, salad dressing,lemon, butter

Prep time: Two minutes to rinse the raw salmon and put it with the salad dressing in the morning.

10 minutes to cook it up in the pan, my normal cook time is three minutes per side for medium thick. If the middle is very thick (at Costco that happens), I slice off the thinner portions when done and let the thicker slices stay in an extra two minutes or so per side.

Once its cooked, we eat on it for three days.

....like when clearly the post has no relevance or adds no value to the OP's question or concern.

Like this:

OP Question: I am having trouble finding a good fish recipe I like...can anyone help?

Response: I hate fish! Fish makes me gag!

Can someone explain the purpose of this? I mean, if you don't like fish, then why dont you just move on to the next thread? Who really cares what makes you gag or not gag???? I know I don't.

Too funny!

Indeed!

OK break time....vacuuming, laundry, floor washing, window washing all done. While DH caulks a few windows, I'm going to catch my breath (figuratively speaking), sip on a strawberry cream cheese smoothie (late breakfast/lunch) and then it is upstairs to pack...but I really want to be outside playing in the dirt - it's sunny...and after all the rain we have had, I really feel the need to be outside. BUt, packing first....:blushing::cursing::lol:

I wish I was packing -- PBing for the second time in three days on crab. The first time I thought it was me. Now I think it's the crab. :blushing:

Sorry to hear that, Beth. Make sure to rest your stomach for the remainder of the day...after PB'ing it always seems much more sensitive.

Packing is done - 1 suitcase and 1 purse/briefcase. Have I mentioned I'm not real fond of business trips?? Uncomfortable planes, uncomfortable hotel beds, conference center temperature fluctuations and armless chairs, and now since banding, tons of catered meals but with limited band friendly low fat lo cal stuff....grumble grumble. However, given the number of people with employment issues, I shall now shut up!

Hehehe, it's a legitimate gripe.

I'll do the best I can to rest my stomach -- but I'm going out for a girl's night for dinner and a movie here in just a little bit. :blushing: At the very least I think I'll do liquids tomorrow, and Monday is a fill anyway, so...

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
