cute! what age group is she in?

She is in the 8 and under group

Babygirl - Shemust be thrilled! what kind of dance does she do? (my LBT name might suggest a type of dance I have an affection for)

For comp she does Jazz and Tap. Her jazz class is the one that took 2nd overall. They did get a high first for the tap routine but did not place in the top 5 for that one. But their tap costume did win the Best Costume award, which was almost as exciting to them as the 2nd overall. She got to bring that trophy home (they all take turns sharing the trophy) and she slept with it last night.

Good morning everyone, hope you are all having a great Monday and a great week.

Got to sleep in to 9:30, talked to mom on the phone, and now that I'm "free," I'm driving down to SC this weekend to see them! YAY!!

Beth - "crotch of hell" I'm ROFLMBO at all those...will be in Richmond this weekend for a college visit at VSU with DD - how close are you to that?

Oh, that's right!! I'm about two hours. Being that I am now a free agent, I could come visit! What days will you be here, Friday/Saturday? It appears I am now leaving Sunday to go visit the folks.

We'll be arriving at oh-dark-thirty on Friday night, and the college tour starts 8 am on Saturday morning. Depending on what time we finish on Saturday, we might be able to hook up for dinner or something...we leave Sunday morning.

Talk about a quick turnaround!

I'll also be in the area in July (after my Florida vacation, we have to go for Freshman Orientation) and in August to drop off DD. If this weekend doesn't work, we could always get together one of the other dates. With you getting ready to travel and us only being in town for a minute, maybe July would be better?

Eh, hard to know. I may be the owner of a Fortune 500 company by July. Ya never know.

I dunno... PM me and let me know what's going on. I'm flexible on leaving for SC since I'm a free agent now. We just came up with the idea last night.

PJTP...

Babygrl - she's adorable! That smile could light up a stadium!

I just got my new laptop (sending fairly new desktop with DD to college in August) and I'm itching to open it up and play with it...

If I do, though, I'll be absorbed by my new toy and get nothing done the rest of the afternoon, which might not make my boss happy...

Guess I'll have to try and wait until I get home today...:)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
