Oh wow, POETRY??? *swoon* You are one lucky girl!! But then again, so is he. It's great to hear couples who have been together a long time who are still in love. Hubby and I always hold hands when we go out, and no matter who is standing around, when we are on the phone he always tells me he loves me and blows me little kisses.

Okay, I know you are my sister-from-another-mother, but is your DH my DH's brother-from-another-mother?

He's the exact same way - always says he loves me (in a cute little sing-song voice "I love you baaaaack") and blows me kisses as well, and he's a hand-holder too!

I feel so blessed, and I'm glad you found a good one, too, my sister!

Added after posting: A belt that fits is a great addition to your bandster toolbox...I just had lunch, and not only is my band telling me I've eaten enough, the belt on my pants is agreeing!

Well, he does have his times like all men -- and unlike we goddesses who are beyond beyond perfect... :blushing:

Ok, you two have great husbands. I can only hope that when DH grows up, that he is as sweet as your DHs are. I am jealous!

Well, grrls, I am lucky too, since my man has done all my nursing and running me to and from the hospital and cleaning during my cancer and he doesn't want my inheritance from my mum which was my original plan (I figured that he really earned it since living with me ain't no piece of cake!!!) but wants me to give it to my blood which would be my 2 nieces and my nephew. We tell each other thank you and that we love each other all the time and he buys me cut flowers. This is so important in Canada where the winters are so so long.

Slim, it has taken nearly 19 years of marriage and over 30 years we've known each other for him to get to this point...

Good things are worth waiting for, and a good man is one that's TRAINABLE!:thumbup::blushing:

Mine is super special and makes me all warm and fuzzy just thinking about it!

PJTP~ It's Friday I am tired... I am going out to dinner with a girl friend of mine and going to have libation and then seduce my husband.. Pretty sure I won't have to try though :scared2:

Not knockin' ya at all, but you're still in that early stage. It SHOULD be all warm and fuzzy. Not everybody is in that place after many years together, and it's nice when we are. :scared2:

We have been together that long and known each other much longer. We just finally decided to get married this year lol

We are considering having another baby so we wanted to make it 'official'

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
