I would think that being happy with what size clothes you wear would help determine the goal weight. I don't know for sure how much muscle weight I have, but I am very happy in a size 10. No it's not a 6, where I would be ecstatic, but at 56 years old and not many wrinkles, a size 10 is very doable for me. I am afraid if I lost any more weight, I would have hanging skin.

Guess I'm going to have to check out the show Damages...

My mom says it's really good. It came on last night and I would have watched it had Forensic Files not been on (can you tell I don't have cable and relish any chance I have where I can watch it? lol).

I DID, however, catch Nip/Tuck. Wowza is all I can say. I asked my mom if it's typically 45 minutes of people having sex interspersed with 15 minutes of other stuff, and she said yes. Cable sure has changed... :)

PJTP~

May be having a major change in my life w/i the next couple of months. No additions to the family or changes in family structure. Can't say what right now as I don't want to have the whole thing fall through.

However, if you are a praying person, I could use all the prayers I can get on this. One way or the other, any prayers to help me find the correct course of action that God intends for me right now in my life. It would be greatly appreciated. If not a praying person, just good thought then would be appreciated. This is something that I have been mulling over for a LONG time now. I need all the support I can get.

Thanks.

Thank you LJM, Luluc, Tap, SNT, for the warm welcome back. I have missed my family:cool2:.

LJM..sorry to hear your swollen. I understand how you feel when he stretches. My middle DD used to keep her feet under my ribs. It hurt like all get outs!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
