Brandy~ 2 Posted January 14, 2009 I have laughed so hard today! My goodness, I needed that laugh so badly. The poop thread was hilarious! I enjoyed everyone's reply to granny, both here and on her thread. Priceless! I second that. LOL I haven't laughed so hard in so long. Even my boss wanted to know what was so funny. Anyways, it made a horridly slow day at work ALOT better.
Grandcanyon 0 Posted January 14, 2009 Don't forget "Isn't that darling?" and "How nice." with their variations. Usually said in a very sweet tone and with a smile. BTW - I'm trying the recipe on (I think) page 3 for the talapia. Even though fish makes me gag. If it's good I'll use it on my piggie (we have three: Leonardo di Piggio, Petey Punkin Pie and Sebastion). Or maybe the dog (Papillon named Elliot) Or the cat (adopted named Ivan - the terrible) Or the female beta (Rain - Storm died and we need to replace her). Or Sally the Salamander (who is way past her expected life span and probably too tough to eat. The end of August a mountain lion ate our other cat, Little Bear, and out other dog (also a Papillon), Bugsy McRoss of Skidmore. The kids and I are pretty broken up about that I went in yesterday and had .5 cc taken out. Man I feel so much better today. It was wonderful to chew!:sneaky: Not the way to lose weight. I had to stay in town until I'd eaten something to make sure I was okay this time. The nurse said they're getting a lot of people up from Phoenix to get fills (who'd had their surgery done in Mexico). I love this thread!

Gracey 7 Posted January 15, 2009 I absolutely am a car chick but $1.5M for something that immediately depreciates? Oh hell no! Tap - you all definitely need to move from that deep freezer! L2L - the naked lady - I'm a live n let live kinda gal but I think I might have to tell the owners so that they can have a "discussion" with The Flasher! re: grandmasandy - who put a bee in her bonnet? sheesh. Texas isn't in "the south" IMO. It's southwest. "Bless your heart" is what one says after making a comment that is less than favorable. e.g. "that baby just isn't cute....bless its heart" I was sitting there thiking God I wish I had a can of Lysol...I'd aerosol her ass... Seriously, eww. tap/cera - Snow? What's that? lol - all I know is that it is freakin' cold here!!! I live in the deep south for a reason - I don't wanna wear a jacket - damned old man winter is going to make me get it out... I said the exact same thing at work today! In that case, tell her the theatre is closed! Great comment!!! Would it be out of line to say "Have a blessed day, bitch?" Heck no it wouldn't!!! Nope. "Fixin' ta" might be pure Texan, but "Bless your heart" is more genteel Southern. Fixin' to is all over the south; not just Texas. Maybe PattyGreen ordained her? I thought I'd heard a rumor that PG has a direct cell # to the Almighty. ROFL!!! is it wrong that i pointed ole granny to OH?? Oh hell no it isn't!!!

Oregondaisy 2,021 Posted January 15, 2009 My grandmother used to hit me with her cane. Brandy, where do you live in Oregon?
Gracey 7 Posted January 15, 2009 Wow; my paternal grandmother wasn't grandmotherly but she didn't hit me! She was more passive-aggressive with her disappointment.
MacMadame 81 Posted January 15, 2009 My grandmother gave me a hard time for eating a piece of cantaloupe for Breakfast once. "You don't see the thin people eating cantaloupe, do you?" she said to me. I gave her my "are you batshit crazy, woman" look and she shut up. My sister was getting married and too nervous to eat breakfast and my grandmother never ate in public as far as I could tell. They were the two thin people who obviously got that way from not eating cantaloupe.

tapshoes 2 Posted January 15, 2009 If bless your heart is an insult (my mind is still reeling over that) then is 'Bless you' also an insult? I know that I use that phrase a lot, in fact have probably written it on LBT...I SWEAR it was NEVER an insult. Bless you is said (in my area) as a thanks - someone brings you a coffee unexpectedly, or does you a favor unsolicited. The response is either 'Thank you. I appreciate it' or 'Bless you'. Never have been hit , punished yes, hit no...can't relate at all. What's the difference between south and (as Sick used it) deep south? Why isn't Texas southern? Man oh man, I have a lot of geography to brush up on obviously. Almost 5am...I can now start to get ready for the day - the Y doesn't open until 530.
babygrl1234 6 Posted January 15, 2009 If I had an overnight low of 48 degrees I might just spend the night outdoors in shorts and a t shirt. Our high today is supposed to be 7.
