so i launch in this morning and see leslie's "whooha" woman is back in FULL FORCE, and realize i have 2 pages to go back to - made an extra strong cup of coffee before reading.

fanny - i did 2 days of liquid before doing the pouch test

susan - thanks for forwarding

$1.5m car - i think i could put that money somewhere else

cold - i woke up FREEZING, it's 31 in NTX this morning, ice on my truck. i promise NOT to complain when it's over 100 for 45 days straight this summer!

pandora Bracelet - my girlfriend has one, and her children/hubby add to it every birthday, mothersday, christmas....she loves it. i'm not a bracelet person - but it is quite "charming":)

tap - i believe you live in the north pole!

leslie - WOW, and i'll leave it at that. i might be a bit more creative on how to handle after some more java.

Lulu - I'm on my second cup and still speechless...well not quite, but omg...

LJM. - Whooha pride? Now that's definately a possibility. Obviously her "girls' are not quite up to par, she keeps them covered like they'll run away if she takes the towell off...

tap/cera - Snow? What's that? lol - all I know is that it is freakin' cold here!!! I live in the deep south for a reason - I don't wanna wear a jacket - damned old man winter is going to make me get it out...

Diva - MRI Machine...yea I read that story. They would have had to send me to the zoo when I was 275 - I think I would have had to hurt someone if they told me that...

i'm just not that comfortable for exposure in a gym, i keep my eyes to the ground when boobs are flying around in the locker room. i couldn't imagine the "whooha" leg lifting routine...hey leslie can you tell if she needed a grooming??? :hurt::ohmy:

It is in writing, so we will hold you to your word.

Charm bracelets - making a comeback. Guess I can dig out mine (about 35 years old) and start wearing it? Nah, gave up jewelry a few decades ago...

So my location and identity are out - I'm Mrs. Claus!!!

So I guess long underwear is not in your wardrobe of daily attire!

She is actually a lovely black lady in her 60's (with her clothes on)...really couldn't tell if she was shaved or not...OMG (gag)...seeing that my eyes were averted.

Okay can ya'll tell I'm definately heterosexual...I promise no pictures. I'd love to explain that one to the family - Oh here's pictures of the kids - awww are they cute...then, "Leslie why do you have a picture of a naked black lady's vagina on your phone?"...oh yea that'd be fun...

Don't want to sound like a bitch, but I would rather be asked about a fish recipe that might be helpful to my cause than to here about your pigs ( animals ). What have they got to do with lap band unless were suppose to eat them. I like animals but if I want to read about them I'll go to another site. This site is suppose to be helpful to post op and any one who wants help or information about the band and food. Just because you don't need it doesn't mean someone else doesn't.

We all go through tough moments and need encouragement now and again. Try sweet bourbon glaze on your fish and see if it will taste better. You can get it at specialty shops. I just rub the fish with oil and grill it and when it is about done I add the glaze for a minute or two on each side. Don't forget to spray pam first.

Oh by the way I am 8 months out and have lost 91 lbs. but still look for good recipes.< /p>

Remember this is a lapband website if you want to talk about other issues get the persons email and go that route.

Have a Blessed Day.

I love how they do that, but it's just too bad they can't manipulate the faces and necks in those pics. They look the same while the body changes, and I'm sure a lot of us have some "extra padding" on our cheeks and necks.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
