Vodka, clamato juice, worchester and tabasco sauces, a dash of lemon juice and the lemon wedge, in a glass rimmed with celery salt, with a celery stick thrown in. My fav christmas drink.

I really don't know...I guess in the far distant past when I was introduced to them it was at a christmas function. Since then, I associate them only with Christmas - besides they're red and green. Just as I associate G&T ONLY with outside in the summer during the day...never at night, never at any other time of the year, and never indoors.

Um...I have a whole list of which drinks for when...in case someone wants to know my 'rules'.

I never knew they gave out college degrees in Bible.

They do at Bible College! :D

Hey, I'm back from Vegas, babee. We went shopping and Mini-Mac fell in love with Ann Taylor. I think I have created a monster.

We also hiked Red Rocks Canyon.

I haven't read any of the back pages. There are too many.

I CANNOT relate! I love christmas - the bustle, decorating the house, stringing lights on the tree, 'tree trapping' (cutting one down), wrapping presents, polishing the silver, cooking more elaborate meals, baking, socializing, the smells, the excitement, enjoying a caesar (the only time I drink them).....it's all good!

But only in December, not November, not October, not January. December.

I was raised Episcopalian so I believe that Christmas should begin on Dec 25 and last the 12 days of Cmas until Jan 5. But alas, no one else thinks that. My aunt takes down her tree Dec 26. Oy!

I learned something new today.

I never knew they gave out college degrees in Bible.

**double snort**

Ohhhhhhmmmmmm, y'all are goin' ta hell!!! :D Kidding.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
