Note to all - winning 2 bottles of wine in a raffle at work = trouble. It was delicious, so the calories don't count (do they???). Haha

Oh and yes! VOTE!! It affects us too over here in the southern hemisphere!!

I think it affects everyone on every continent who the United States President is. I'm leaving work early today to vote. I've never done that before. I've also never missed an election.

Thanks Plain for the avatar compliment. However I'm not so sure I can return it! Hehe

There are two places to click. One brings up the last unread post and one jumps to the last post in the thread.

So which is the right place to click? I get to the last post too. This thread is so busy...

I click on "view first unread" and it works every time.

There should be a icon right next to the thread title to the left. The one for the last post is an icon to the right of the name of the last poster.

(I'd be more descriptive but I'm on the new style, not the old style so it's different.)

Now if people are clicking on the icon on the left and getting to the last post, that sounds like a bug. But being confused about where to click is just par for UI design. It means the design isn't clear.

SNT, I so agree with you. I just want it to be done.

I didn't have to wait in line at all to vote. I went at 4:00, walked right up and voted. It was nice.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
