Diva302 15 Posted April 18, 2018 Greetings, I am getting the DS and ohh so excited, I had the sleeve and had weight gain now I am close to my original starting weight, I started the process of DS a few months ago with the intention of sleeve revision or gastric bypass, and my surgeon discussed my options and DS it is! So good people of this forum, I am seeking advice, pearls of wisdom, any info you care to share. I am an RN and have researched all the data, pros and cons, now I want to listen to those who have experienced the surgery and their story. Thanks a million

Postop 411 Posted April 18, 2018 As long as it's someone who is experienced in the DS you should be good to go. 1 Diva302 reacted to this

Thanks again hello Diva302, I had pains the first week. just very hard to get up , but I walk as much as I could . No drains. the laparoscopic incisions were vey small and practically are gone now I am on puree foods but not hungry at all. I go to soft food class tomorrow and see what else I can eat. The liquids sucked but it was all part of it to deal with. Not only did I have the Duodenal switch but I had my gall bladder removed and a hiatal hernia repaired. so three operations were done that day and that could be why I am was extra sore. You will do fine! Its all worth it!!! I wish for you a speedy recovery! let me know if you have any more questions 1 Diva302 reacted to this
