jcamp71268 3 Posted April 18, 2018 Had my RNY 03/28/18. All went well and was recovering well until I started having a lot of pain in near my upper left incision. I got a heating pad and just dealt with the pain believing it was gas. It felt like a baseball was underneath my skin. I didn’t have a fever but I was tired. Again, I thought the fatigue was normal. I decided to call Dr and he said head to ER. It turned out to be an infected abscess. I am glad i listened to my gut and went to ER. So lesson is, if you don’t feel right, don’t be afraid to ask Dr. 2 angyplus5 and ProudGrammy reacted to this
Krizivester 61 Posted May 9, 2018 Same exact thing happened to me! Excruciating pain! I dealt with it thinking it was just gas too. Note: if you are clawing at furniture in plain, go to the ER. BUT now I'm home day 3 from the abscess and I have a pulling on my lower RIGHT side when I move that area.....? Any suggestions?
