I had the sleeve done 4/9. My diet has been Clear Liquids for the 1st week and then “soft proteins” for the next 2 weeks. Think eggs, Beans, yogurt. I’ve started testing a few foods and when I’m eating them sometimes I get a tinge of pain and feel like I can feel the food moving through. Has this happen to anyone else? Maybe I’m not ready to start real food?

I had my surgery 4/3 and I get to start full liquids Tuesday (adding milk to my Protein shakes). I've felt hungry here and there and tried scrambled eggs, tuna, and chicken. I also have pains, almost like I can feel it moving from mouth to stomach. I have to be on full liquids 2 weeks then get to start soft /pureed foods. I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to eat 20g protein/ 3 oz of meat when I start eating soft foods. I can't tolerate 3 bites.

Try really small bits for starters, like 1 teaspoon servings. I couldn't do Beans at all for the first month or so. Listen to your tummy.

I remember that feeling vividly, I’m now 4 months post op. It gets better, but it can be slightly unnerving!

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
