... about popping a staple, or breaking something!

Mysurgery date was 4/2 so I'm 12 days post op and I still have this fear everyday. Like I can feel things shifting when I get up, how much longer till I feel normal?

It's great you're being careful...but at this point, you're probably being overly cautious. Long past time to get up and get moving as normal:) No reason to worry.

You should be up and about with no risk of hurting yourself- I was good to go around a week in. Your stomach may feel a bit odd but the more you move the more it’ll heal

Like they’ve said, at this point you’re totally safe and it’s a mental thing

Move slowly and smoothly and you should be okay.

Please be up and moving. Blood clots and dehydration are the number 1 risk and potential fatal risks after surgery. You should be walking around at least 10 min every 1-2 hours to avoid a blood clot. They are no joke.

Definitely be up and moving about. Blood clots are dangerous often resulting in pulmonary embolism, heart attack, stroke and deep vein thrombosis. Up and moving friends, I promise nothings gonna fall off or out. Feel better!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
