suebaby 0 Posted October 31, 2007 I had got out of my exercise regimen, a while back, but in the last 4 weeks had got back into walking and last 2 weeks incorporated a little running. (kind of the couch to 5K approach but less running time 10 - 15 seconds every minute for 20-25 minutes) Have even cut back on my eating. Got on the scales this morning and up like 3 pounds??????? No heavy salt intake yesterday. This scale thing has got me just a lil down, was expecting a little loss, for sure not a gain??? Anyone have any thoughts on this?????????????:help:
losingjusme 12 Posted October 31, 2007 hi, how is your Water intake? are you logging your food? how are cals / carbs? are you eating too few cals?
Mrs Prysm 0 Posted October 31, 2007 If your walking and running your fat (sorry for that word) will be turning to muscle, muscle weighs more than fat. In simple terms, your body is toning up
areellady 1 Posted October 31, 2007 Time of month??? I am always up three to four pounds around then...could this be it???? Keep at it, even if you are going up a little in weight, you are probably going down in overall inches...thats how I do anyways...
suebaby 0 Posted October 31, 2007 Thanks for the help I am not keeping a log. I figure roughly I am eating 1500 calorie a day. Not that time of month. Getting my Water in for sure, One coworker said that it could be the fact that I started a new exercise regime and could be some swelling in the muscles?!?!???? My mom always said inches before pounds - Maybe dear mom is right???!
losingjusme 12 Posted October 31, 2007 absolutely - i've always (begrudgingly) believed in inches over pounds...
travelgirl 3 Posted October 31, 2007 Keep a log of your food. When I started writing every bite of food down, I was shocked to see how much I underestimated almost everything. I thought I was eating around 1500, too, and found out I was going over 2,000 almost every day. I had to change my eating habits since my current fill level is pretty good, I think.
