Are you following the prescribed diet carefully? People lose at different rates. Just keep your nose to the grindstone and persevere. The scale will move.

Yeah man in the same boat. Started at 376, went down to 352 in like 10 days. It’s been a month and I’m still at 349. Idk I’ve been dieting well but nothing. Hopefully it’ll change when I’m able to work out

Focus on getting the prescribed amount of liquid and Protein in a day. That really helps. At a month out I remember taking over and hr to drink my Protein Shake in the morning but I pushed through it. At a month out you are of course still healing so not eating may sound more appealing sometimes than Getting that full feeling, but pace yourself! There is such thing as eating too little which could delay progress. But go by your prescribed plan! We all have different ones so that makes it tricky!

Thank you I really feel that might be my problem I am having a hard time getting my meals in... any suggestions? I know I need to eat like 4-5 times a day and it’s hard trying to space it out and things for me because I wake up later than most people and am trying not to eat super late I’m getting in 2-3 meals a day 3 on a good day

Personally, my program allowed only 3 "meals" a day, no more, no Snacks, so we do have a different plan, but I'll share what worked for me. But it really was a struggle, so I hear you completely! I never felt hungry and I was dreading eating again at the next meal time. I also remember glaring at my cup of liquid and wishing it would just disappear. BUT I set alarms on my phone every 15 minutes to remind me to drink. I honestly did wake up earlier just because I needed more time to drink and get my ounces in. Try setting alarms for meal times and water/liquid reminders. It's probably all you think about, but when that buzzer goes off, gotta do it. Remember no liquids 30 minutes before or 30 minutes after a meal too. Early on, it's a lot of thinking and a lot of alarms or feeling like you are constantly trying to eat or drink. It gets a LOT better in my experience. I'm 5 months out now and it's less of a mind game, your body adjusts.

Good luck! Hopefully others keep posting with suggestions! It was a lot of mind over matter for me early on so if you believe you can get the Protein and liquid in, you'll find a way to do it!

Protein Shakes get your Protein in and double as Fluid intake. I take Premier Protein 30g of protein in 11 oz. 1g of sugar 160 calories 5g carbs 3g fat. 2 shakes meets my daily protein intake and gives me at least 22oz of fluid.

I do premier as well and have been making sure to atleast get two in a day most days and the days I don’t I try to get the protein in with chicken and things but I’m eating meat and really no veggies because once I’m half way through meat I am full

I’m in the same stall boat. I stalled at 3 weeks and then again at 7 weeks. It is frustrating. I’m trying to not weigh myself and just concentrate on sticking with my plan. I’m down 40lbs. In 8 weeks. Im glad I’m not alone in this! This forum is great.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
