MANPOWER I miss hearing from you. Now that you're healing,so well, we don't get to hear from you? A body would think you don't love us anymore? And you should remember you are our favorite Nebraskan, well next to Larry the Cable Guy! Didn't Debra Winger date one of your Senators way back? And I don't mean Katleen Sebelius, she was Ohio Governor John Gilligan's daughter. He was the reason an Interstate doesn't go through my county. See my county, Knox, is perpetually Republican, so of course nobody much voted for his Democrat self, out of revenge he made sure we didn't have even a foot of I-71, comes within 3 miles of our western border. There was, supposed to be an Interstate. connector Route from south of Bellville on I 71 to I 70 west of Newark , rather a mini Interbelt, I think maybe it's number was going,to be I - 153 or something similar, that was maybe 30 years ago but it still hasn't been built and it looks like it never will, largely due to Gilligan and his snit fit. Every few years one of the commisioners or city fathers has a PLOM,moment. This term comes from Mrs Gamgee, our BariPal in Red Deer Alberta, it stands for Poor Little Old Me, they. snivell about how the surrounding counties get moneys we don't. Do they point this out to Columbus or Washington DC? Nope, they just whine. Come to think,of it, Kansas had the dubious honor,of ,Ms,Sebelius, not you. And Gov. Gilligan looks up from his coal,-shoveling in Hades, and thinks he still has the last laugh.😁

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
