txrnygal 0 Posted April 9, 2018 Hi everyone🖐. 1st post here... I had the rny on 4/4. 2 days after surgery I started what I think is my period. It wasn't due till the 14th. Could the blood thinners they gave me after surgery have caused it start early? Just wondering if anyone else's period popped up early after surgery. Side note- I'm normally VERY regular. Thanks in advance. Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app
frust8 963 Posted April 9, 2018 Seems like almost every premenopausal chick on here does that. Suspect it could be blood thinners, the shock of major surgery or hormones being released from your fat stores. One skosh older lady said it's like puberty, pregnancy and menopause rolled together, but you don't get a cute baby out of the deal. And prepare yourself for some mood swings because of those durn hormones releasing back out, most seem to get cranky and easily offended, but it will pass. Bad things usually do, your ride might her bumpy but the weight loss and clothing sizes, getting smaller, the renewed energy makes it all worth while. toodlerue 452 Posted May 3, 2018 It’s the shock of surgery. My daughter had major back surgery when she was 15. They told us to bring pads with us to the hospital. (We knew she would be there for at least 5 days) Sure enough, she had a period 3 days after the surgery. So also had to have surgery again 2 1/2 weeks after the 1st one. 3 days later, her friend came to visit her. Toodles, Rue
