Clothing During Rapid Weightloss Months

I'm planning on doing the every-other-size thing, as well, but I'm not sure if it's going to work out in the long run, because I realized today that my size 28 jeans are so loose I can pull them down without unbuttoning them.

LOL I can do this with my size 24s now! I am still at 270, as I have been for 2 weeks, but my clothing looks all frumpy. I just have to make them last another few weeks since my surgery is May 14th. I have 2 pairs of older pants that are 22, and 2 new pairs of 20s. Hopefully that will last me a bit. After that, its summer (if it ever stops freaking snowing!!!) and I can make dresses stretch me a bit longer than pants.

I'm still a few days pre op, but am down 9 kilos (about 20lb) from my 121kg at the start of this year, 124kg mid last year.

So far I've retired two of my three pairs of pyjama pants (they were size 24 and got so loose they were creeping up my legs overnight). The last pair is a 20-22 and that will do me until I shrink into the two size 18-20 pairs I bought last week at Kmart ($4 and $7), though as my legs get thinner the material of the current pants is hanging lower and I have to be careful not to trip now while walking!

I've also retired some size 24 khaki pants now their waist is too loose to be safe wearing in public.

My comfy elastic waisted jeans I'm just pulling in at the back with a safety pin for now, and will make do with them and some yoga pants until I can try some new stuff on a week or so post op.

I’m a teacher so I’ll be home for the summer. Probably a lot of yoga capris and athletic shorts. Not spending a lot since I’ll be chasing after my two boys

Since the weather has finally warmed up enough that I won't be wearing long sleeves now, I just went through my dresser and closet and culled a full 55-gallon trash bag of clothes that either are already too big or will be by the time cool weather rolls around again. It'll be off to Goodwill soon. I did save my biggest pair of jeans (34s) and the outfit I take my progress pics in.

I hate trick clothing. I put an outfit on in the morning after spending 30 minutes finding a combo that fits, and 30 mins into wearing it (when it’s no longer dryer-tight) I realize it does NOT fit. Who knew clothing with 5% lycra would be so unforgiving?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
