ALFxRNY 540 Posted April 8, 2018 My nutrition appointment is Tuesday and I have gained weight so I’m freaking out. I don’t want this to effect everything I’ve been working for. I told my nutritionist that this always happens and she insisted it was in my head. I had lost about 16lbs and then I was on a stand still for 2 months. Whenever I hit a plateau, my weight just starts coming back, like no matter what I do I gain. I’m so stressed out about this. Does anyone know if this is going to mess up everything I’ve been working towards? I’m right at the end, about to submit paperwork next month. I’m at a loss for what to do
heatherjudson 62 Posted April 8, 2018 I lost 15 lbs then right before surgery I gained back 9lbs (it was my last thanksgiving with old stomach!). It was no problem. My surgeon said that some people don’t lose anything and that wasn’t a problem either. In fact, it’s a reason we get this surgery. Other methods (diet and exercise) haven’t worked for us. NYCNomad 64 Posted April 8, 2018 From my first appointment, I gained 20 lbs over the 6 months of weigh-ins leading up to submitting to insurance. UHC approved my surgery.Sleeved 3/12/18, HW 270, SW 253, CW 238, GW 160, 5’9”
ALFxRNY 540 Posted April 8, 2018 Hopefully my insurance is understanding. Thank you both for your replies. The gain is super upsetting for me
Melly75 4 Posted April 8, 2018 When you started your program they weighed you. That is your starting weight. As long as you don't go over that starting weight I don't think you should have any worries. 1 ALFxRNY reacted to this
