crikkit 0 Posted October 31, 2007 Ok, I've figured out that cottage cheese just isn't for me. I tried salt and pepper ... no. Peanut Butter ... sort of ok. Applesauce ... no. Rasberry spread ... no. I'm glad I tried though!
Candle 11 Posted November 1, 2007 I love it. I eat it almost everyday. I recently bought "no salt added" by accident - G.R.O.S.S.
Jachut 487 Posted November 1, 2007 Can I just clarify - you never can tell with the differences. To me, cottage cheese, it comes in a tub in the dairy section and its all curdy, little lumps of stuff, doesnt taste cheesy? Coz what you're all talking about sounds good, lol and to me its just one of those, I dont hate it but wont go out of my way to eat it type foods. I am talking about the same thing - white curdy lumps in a small bit of liquid, not sharp cheesy tasting?

Oregondaisy 2,021 Posted November 1, 2007 I used to hate cottage cheese until my daughter told me to mix it with yogurt. I really like that now. There is a brand here that comes already mixed with pineapple that's pretty good too.
Nathalie 4 Posted November 1, 2007 When I was newly banded I made a lot of cottage cheese whips. The base is always the same: 1/3c cottage cheese 1 3.5oz can of chicken I put it in the food processor, and then add flavor: Greek seasoning, lemon pepper, or BBQ Sauce. My absolute favorite is the buffalo chicken whip. I put hot sauce in it and then add a few bleu cheese crumbles on top when it's all whipped. The whips are sooooo good, and the cottage cheese "texture" isn't there. I never did sweet mix-ins, though some of those suggestions sound kind of tasty.
