(90 lb. wt loss) Off all meds, recent A1C was 5.8, was feeling great until 3 weeks ago, became very fatigued, diagnosed with bacterial colitis, prescribed Flagyl and Cipro, diarrhea ceased but continue very fatigued although sleeping 8 hrs each night with Tramadol, last labs showed slight anemia, high Calcium, low B2. Stopped 3/day Multivitamins and started once a day over the counter multi to reduce Calcium. Walking daily but have not started and actual exercise regime, can hardly get the energy to attempt exercise.

Anyone else with extreme fatigue, have you been able to gain energy and how? I have heard month 3-6 is the toughest.

Cyclerob you and I (age 72) have an added burden , Mother Nature wants to tell us "Slow Down, you are a Senior Citizen". I try not to listen to the old broad, she and her husband Father Time have done a number already on me. Are you Getting enough Vitamins, sleep and fluids? Got to keep them all taken care of for peak efficiency. Are you Getting plenty of B12? That's a prime energy one along with the rest of the B family. Just keep moving, remember older age and treachery will beat out youth and foolishness every time. You and I are Boomers and the best. We may be the next Great Generation now that most of our parents have died. I'm almost always on here if you want to talk more. Boomers rock, and you and I are them![emoji13][emoji13][emoji13]

Please don't mess around with this. If your doc didn't do a serum ferritin, then get one done immediately. Chances are you are so low and need Iron infusions. To get those you need a referral to a hematologist. That's probably why you're having such bad fatigue, but it could also just be aftermath of the infection. Especially if it's anything like c. Diff.

Had to decrease bariatric high potency Vitamins due to high Calcium which can mess with your energy level Went to an over the counter multi Vitamin in the last 2 weeks. sleep is usually 8 hrs nightly and drinking good amount of fluids. B12 on last lab was high, B2 was slightly low. Hemoglobin was down but did not require a transfusion. I am right in there with Boomers. Still ride a motorcycle and listen to ton's of live music. Still working full time, own my own small business. Probably need to start more light wt training as I have lost a bunch of muscle mass.

Im thinking no reserves after infection, wasn't c-diff so placed on Cipro. Infection cleared up about a week ago but still fatigues. My Iron was slightly low but will check lab work next week to see it's come up.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
