I would die. LOL. I am literally the crabbiest person ever if I am awake at 11. I'm kind of like a lay down at 8:30 and read, passed out by 9:30 kind of gal. In fairness, my alarm goes off at 5am. But still. Love me some sleep.

Although on the weekends when I'm feeling rebellious, I'll stay awake until 11 or maybe 12. #LivinOnTheEdge

Lol just like my husband drives me nuts hes out by 8 and weekends 10-11 and hes like struggling to stay up so funny

Haha! I'm the same way! I'm in bed by 8:30 pm, the latest. On the weekends I try to stay up... but typically I'm in bed by 9-9:30. I'm just an early bird. I'm up by 5:30-6am every day. I once slept in until 8am and felt like I slept my whole day away.

Ditto! I love getting up super early! I can relax and have my coffee without my dog and kids fighting for my attention :)

Has anyone had a bad reaction to Protein supplements? Whether it is shakes, clear Protein Drink or broth I double over in pain and have to run to bathroom. Was fine before surgery. One wk postop. Wondering if whey allergy.

Wow that’s not good! Iv heard of a few people that have had whey allergies. They would throw up or run straight to the bathroom after drinking it. Have you said anything to your doctor about it? You can get other Protein that isn’t whey protein.

Yeah that’s odd. Definitely call back and see what’s going on. Are you mixing the Protein with Water?

No just the pre-made excerpt the broth obviously mixing with Water.

Maybe it’s the Premade stuff that’s bothering your stomach? Iv always found the RTD Protein to be different than the powder you mix yourself.

I plan on doing the same! Cut out carbs and sugar! I’m gonna make my own diet....Ketopaleo diet! Lol! There is probably one already but it’s fun to put the words together. Lol.

Just Protein PROTEIN PROTEIN AND MORE PROTEIN...With a side of Protein!

I have ISO-Pure Unflavored Protein and I put it in everything. You just have to get past the chalky protein taste and it’s.....Ahhhh...not bad! Lol

I even did it before my pre-op diet! When we had chili for dinner, my kids out a scoop of cheese in their chili...I’d put a scoop of protein! [emoji1320]

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
