MACPOWER 96 Posted April 4, 2018 Yeah, the bypass you lose more faster. Either surgery though you should be able to get to your goal weight if you keep up with it and challenge yourself. I think I want to get to 140-150lbs, but I think I want to maintain at like 150-160. Thick girls are cute and I still want a booty haha! I'm just going to lose until I feel like I'm in a good spot [emoji4]My professional advice...LIFT WEIGHTS! Your booty will be amazing!!! Every person is different. Every body is different. The way everyone is made is different. I’m not a believer in the BS written on paper for every single person that is a certain weight or height. Not every woman is the same nor built the same way. And not every man is the same nor built the same way.And yes! Thick girls are way cute!! 2 clsumrall and Brittbrat reacted to this

I'm going to get a personal trainer the closer I get to goal to help me get that booty! HahaAnd I agree. I hate when people say "according to my BMI I should be this weight." Just be the weight that feels and looks right to you! Either they think their all big badass’s or they stand there and just stare at you like lost dogs. Every time I’m in the weight room I enjoy yelling at guys for be D-Bags! LOL! Anyway, a personal trainer can be very helpful. They will hold you accountable and help you with everything you need!Honestly to tell you the truth...I was completely against weight loss surgery for years! In my profession I always thought with hard work and dedication...you can lose weight! Well that’s BS!!! Cause I can gain all the muscle in the world but I also gain fat too. I can work hard and lose weight, but I can NEVER keep it off. I realized I have an eating problem. A problem that my knowledge and skills can’t fix. So I decided I needed help. So I looked into Bariatric surgery and decided that it’s an amazing opportunity for me to help me with my eating problem. I will be able to lose the fat Iv been packing on top of my muscles and keep it off. I can be healthier and live longer! I’m am now 100% for Bariatric Surgery! 2 Taoz and FluffyChix reacted to this
MACPOWER 96 Posted April 4, 2018 Right?!? My first nutritionist wanted me to hit 135... I was traumatized! I’d look like the living dead... even at my healthiest, I was never in the 130 range. My first goal weight is 175. Nutritionist are nuts! Don’t get me wrong, many are good. But many also go by that stupid “BOOK” and what the book says your height and weight should be. What they say every single person should be is BS!

You just have to jump right in as you have in this post! And post often. People get to know you and then it becomes like a fam. So here's the deal. Glad you've had an epiphany, but I know you know this isn't magic bean surgery. Right? The operation will make your tummy smaller. That's all it does. So if you have a food/eating problem, please know that you may need even more help to keep the weight off. You may need therapy or OA, or some kind of help for your mind on top of your anatomy. Cuz people eat around the sleeves and pouches all the time. They still make the wrong choices despite the nutrition education and the surgery. And it becomes a shambolic event. The time to get that extra help is now, even before your surgery, or in the early months after surgery so that you don't squander the honeymoon period and instead use that time to revise your relationship with food for the future! Sorry to be blunt. But it always alarms me to read these words that I highlighted. There is no black/white all or nothing future for us, sadly. We will always have to be hyper aware in my opinion to guard against that silent enemy that lies like nothing else.

The people at the gym don't scare me, however I have no clue what to do. Back when I was in shape and exercising, I did sports and had someone barking at me telling me what to do. So I don't really know wtf I am doing. So I end up doing cardio because its self-explanatory. I need someone telling me WHAT to do and why I am doing it. And I need one with flexible hours because I work like crazy, and have two demanding children and a slightly neurotic dog at home Edited April 4, 2018 by Kay07 1 frust8 reacted to this

It helps that my insurance made me see a weight loss specialist for 6 months first before they would even think about approving my surgery. Eating is the #1 thing we have worked on! I know this surgery isn’t a “magic pill” but it does help with putting you in the right direction. 1 clsumrall reacted to this
