This might be TMI but since surgery every time I am intimate I get so much pain and urgency to pee it isn't ever a bladder infection.
It's driving me to the point of tears because I want to be intimate with my partner but it hurts so much after.
The doctors don't seem to care and I'm losing my mind....

I've been following this forum since before my surgery in Feb 2018 and never registered since I didn't really plan on posting, only reading up. When I saw your question I felt compelled to sign up to give you my experience on the matter. Although I am male, I would have the same urgency and pain when being intimate with my wife. For over a year I was told it was a UTI (rare in males) or a prostate infection. It would go away after a couple of days then start again. It wasn't until I demanded a CT of my bladder and kidneys and a cystoscopy that a small tumor was found in my bladder. I hate to scare anyone, but you are experiencing the same symptom I had and you should talk with your DR about it. Even if it is a tumor, its more of an inconvenience than life threatening. I am 3 years clear from the tumor removal and feel great. Either way I hope its not your case and there is another explanation. God bless.

I will have to bring it up to a doctor. They did an ultrasound in December and didn't find anything so I'm wondering if my bladder has simply fallen and needs to be repaired

As the sad honoree of a cystocele and rectocele from 3 9lb babies, basically the front and back wals of my veejayjay have herniated, you may just have a cystocele like me, a fallen bladder like you thought or a small tumor like the above responder. Who you need to consult is a gyno-urologist. they specialize in both systems. If you don't live in or near a city with a medical university like I do, check with an urologist or gyno second, both can help you. My problem , well a teeny more FYI, except for increased pelvic pain and heaviness and being more prone to UTI, I can't get on top at mattress mambo maneuvers time[emoji17]

Only suggestion your wise old Bariatric Good -mother has, flood yourself with Fluid afterwards to lessen chances of UTI, be slow, gentle and loving with each other, let him be on top so your cervix is awash with little wigglers at the right time and pray real hard for the baby blessing![emoji67][emoji64][emoji68]

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
