Hi guys it feels like I just come here with problems and I’m sorry for that but it’s hard to find anyone who relates to me.

I’m wondering if anyone noticed changes to their sleep post op, I used to love sleeping. I would sleep all night no problems. Sadly now I wake up three-four times a night. Every time I wake up I’m crazy dehydrated and have a dry mouth.

Thing is I’m drinking the recommended amount Fluid, haven’t taken meds for weeks, don’t exercise late, and don’t drink coffee. I don’t understand what’s going on!

How many ounces per day are you drinking? Are you estimating or actually keeping track?

Sounds to me like you need to drink much more than you are.

Also...insomnia in the weeks following surgery is fairly common. It gets better.

Fairly common at first, but usually gets better. I had a couple weeks of insomnia too. Try melatonin

I only have one comment about melatonin. I had breast cancer and am taking tamoxifen. Melatonin interferes with Tamoxifen, so if you are on anymeds, please check with your doctor first. ;)
