I need someone for support. I just started my 2 week liquid pre-op diet today. It started out ok, but it's getting rough. I have a headache. This could be mental of course. Is there anyone willing to help me through this?

Why are you doing this? What do you want to accomplish? Who do you feel accountable to?
Think of those things when you're struggling. You can do anything you set your mind to.
I was terrified of the liquid diet stage. I started January 1st, and wasn't on soft foods until February 1st. It was easy before because I didn't have to think about what to prepare. I guess it was easier in general than I expected it to be. I had the headache too, you can get through this.

I am on day two of my preop and I am holding up okay. Some tricks I learned here from other posters is change your settings. Refocus. I am not sitting in the same room doing the same things. And remember your goal. Chin up and we can do this!

My first few days on the pre-op liquid diet was hard. I had headaches and was wicked tired for about 3 days after the first day. After the 4th day it got easier and the headaches and fatigue went away. If you continue to get headaches you might want to check with you doctor. Good luck and hang in there, we are all here for you.

Had that problem myself. Carb withdrawal. Be sure to get the allotted amount of carbs if your still having this problem. Add some carbs of some sort to your shakes. I was allowed to blend in some fruits with a Vitamix as long as I didn’t go over 15 grams per shake. Also drink lots of Water.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
