lindseypb 9 Posted March 28, 2018 Did anyone else have vajayjay changes since surgery? I’ve always been a big Water drinker which now isn’t so much but also feel like I’m having the beginnings of yeast infection or something just super dry feeling. If this makes any sense at all. 1 SGirl35 reacted to this
frust8 963 Posted March 28, 2018 You know I would have expected it to be the opposite. With the estrogen and other chemicals that have been stored in your fat stores layer released I would have expected increased lubrication instead. Maybe a problem for your gynecologist to puzzle over?Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app 1 acrowder61 reacted to this
lindseypb 9 Posted March 28, 2018 Definitely going to make that call tomorrow. Just didn’t want to go over “it’s just your body going through changes”.
Strivingforbetter 247 Posted March 28, 2018 I had this change about 3 months after the surgery. It's a major problem now.
SleeveinIL 386 Posted March 28, 2018 I have had the opposite AND there is a new sweet smell (sorry for the TMI). I am very sensitive to smells right now, so it could be nothing. I have no symptoms.
frust8 963 Posted March 28, 2018 Yeast infections do have a rather sweetish smell. Make sure your yogurt has active cultures in it and it should help. If not then bring El Medico into the picture.[emoji12]lSent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
Bethaby 3 Posted March 28, 2018 You may need diflucan. For yeast. It's easy to get one after all the antibiotics. 1 Tonia_Raelynne reacted to this
Dr-Patient 830 Posted March 28, 2018 The sweet smell might be ketones. Do you smell it when you urinate, or are just bare, even if not having recently urinated? If doing high Protein, you could be spilling ketones, as expected you would]. Do you have some urine dipsticks? You can check for ketones. That indicator turns purple, when they are present. Sosewsue61 3,185 Posted March 28, 2018 Right after surgery my whole body was drier - skin, hair, nails, etc because of not getting enough liquids, and not getting much nutrition - fats, calories, micronutrients from fruits and vegetables. And depending on your age and hormones, there are lots of changes going on and it's a crap shoot trying to figure out reactions and what is causing them. For me presently at 5 months postop, and over a decade post menopause the 'old gal' is a little less dry than before surgery but she isn't 18 any more either lol. 1 SGirl35 reacted to this

I’m 7 months post op, and I have more wetness down there- but have lost almost all arousal.. I can’t feel anything during sex... no weird dryness other than that as of now. Early in the stages - yes, I had lots of dryness! Very uncomfortable . I used lotion and drank more Water. It will pass.
