jrsone 43 Posted March 26, 2018 So Monday is my surgery pending insurance clearance. Thursday I have a pre-op pre-admission test. I had a 6 month nutrition program that I had to lose 25 pounds to qualify and I did. Exactly 25. My problem now is that I gained some of that back. I’m so worried they will deny me, the doctor at least.I worry about everything. 1 FluffyChix reacted to this

I know with my weight, it fluctuates SO heavily because my body looooves to retain Water, so maybe it's that? I know my weight can change up to 6lbs from morning to afternoon because of water weight (it's super effing annoying!) 1 jrsone reacted to this
elforman 234 Posted March 26, 2018 (edited) You have nothing to worry about. The pre-surgical weight loss program is an insurance company requirement to make sure you will be able to stick to the post-surgical regimen. It's perfectly normal that in the period between the end of the six-month period (six for you anyway, it'll be three for me and different for others) you'll regress a bit before the surgery. The insurance company isn't going to call the doctor and hospital to tell them to stop everything because you put five pounds back on. Now if it's 15 or so in less than a month, you may need to worry a little bit, not about the surgery, but why you put all that weight back in the first place...
