Anyone in the DFW area? Considering gastric sleeve surgery

Hi everyone... I've been thinking about the gastric sleeve surgery for a while and I've spoken to a couple if friends about it... I was hoping to get some more feedback and information as I move forward.

M0214... that would be great! Who are you using? Also, what doctor did you use to approve the surgery? I'm new to the area and don't have a regular doctor yet.

Dr Bagshahi - his office is attached to Harris Methodist downtown. I didn’t need my family doctor to approve a thing. Bagshahi’s Office does it all

I have Aetna insurance
I had to write down all of my attempts at weight loss, do 90 days of nutrition counseling, a stress test and a sleep apnea test.

Some insurances do require longer nutrition counseling

He approved it and did the surgery. Had to do 6 months of Nutritionist visits, via the phone. A stress test, psych evaluation, sleep study, and a few other tests over that six month period. Actually was quite easy.
