Creekimp13 5,840 Posted March 23, 2018 (edited) Someone here...a man...recommended Bio Oil for wrinkles and saggy skin. Have been using it for about ten days on my Turkey Neck and can see a noticeable difference! Have been putting it on after I shower in the AM, and again before bed. Really not a big believer in "wrinkle creams"...but have been pleasantly surprised. Figured it didn't hurt to pass this on. And whoever told me about it...thank you! (and sorry I'm not giving you credit by name) Edit: I've been racking my brain and I think it was James Marusek who mentioned the Bio Oil to me. Thanks James! Sleeved36 356 Posted March 23, 2018 Good to know. My surgery is hopefully next month. Who knows what bits and parts of me will start to sag/shrivel? My husband and I are taking bets! It is all moving south, but if I can slow it a little. . . . . Worth it. 1 FluffyChix reacted to this
Biddy zz 🏳️🌈 1,004 Posted March 23, 2018 Oh @Creekimp13 that is welcome information! And I regard you as healthily sceptical (not prone to flights of “rubbing iguana earwax on your tonguecures blackheads” kinda hysteria). With my hysterectomy scar, I wanted to test the bio oil thing. So I rubbed it on 1/2 my scar. Toss of coin which half. It seriously made that half fade very quickly. To this day, my scar still has a light/dark half!! This New scar gets the full bio oil coverage! And now my wattle will too - when I get back from the islands... will let you know. 3 1 Greenfeather65, FluffyChix, BINABINA25 and 1 other reacted to this
FluffyChix 17,415 Posted March 23, 2018 Ok, sold to the little lady in front with the turkey neck! So where do I find said oil in my neighborhood and does it have a smell? 2 1 teacherlady095, Greenfeather65 and Creekimp13 reacted to this
Creekimp13 5,840 Posted March 23, 2018 About any pharmacy. Yep, it's got a smell....kinda like baby powder/shampoo...I'm not crazy about the smell, but it seems to go away pretty quick. 1 FluffyChix reacted to this

I've been using bio oil for the last few weeks and I also see a big difference. Thanks for sharing. It's relatively cheap too for most skin care products. I normally have really dry skin and now my face is smooth as can be. 1 FluffyChix reacted to this

PCOSSUCKS 96 Posted May 18, 2018 Has anyone tried powdered collagen Protein? It is supposed to be amazing for hair skin Nails and joints...I was looking into it today. One of my friends swears by it....
Taoz 284 Posted May 18, 2018 Just now, PCOSSUCKS said: Has anyone tried powdered collagen Protein? It is supposed to be amazing for hair skin Nails and joints...I was looking into it today. One of my friends swears by it.... Just the other day I've ordered a beef Gelatin derived (tasteless) Protein supplement, primarily because I can't stand the taste of even "unflavored" whey protein isolate's that I've tried, but I was happy to read that it also aids skin elasticity so should help with skin shrinking as I lose (I also consume a fair bit of chicken-derived gelatin in my Soups made with home chicken stock). I've also started using Bio oil on my surgery scars now that they are uncovered and hope it will help. I still expect I'm going to need some plastics once I'm at goal weight though, I carry a lot of weight on my arms and legs as well as my butt and stomach. And "the girls" will likely need at least an uplift. 1 PCOSSUCKS reacted to this
Sleeved36 356 Posted May 18, 2018 There is minimal/mixed research on collagen, but I say "who cares, it's worth a shot!". Either way it adds to your Protein for the day. Mine says it mixes with anything -liars. You have to mix it with hot liquid. I do 2 things: 1- mix collagen in hot coffee, then add a little cold almond milk to cool it down, then 1 scoop chocolate protien powder. Perfect Breakfast. 2- mix collagen in hot caffeine free tea and add ice. Cheaper than protein waters. GNC also has a chewable hair, skin, and nails Vitamin that has collagen. I HATE chewable vitamins, but this one's not bad or expensive. Other thing that is supposed to help skin is sugar scrubs, exfoliation increases blood flow to skin's surface. 2 PCOSSUCKS and Taoz reacted to this
