Walter.Sobchak 978 Posted March 23, 2018 Why do you guys think you became depressed/more depressed right after surgery? I have a history of some pretty bad depression and I have my consult next week for a bypass so I'm kinda nervous reading this. Thanks for any input you have! You no longer have the escape of food like you used to. You can no longer abuse food. Also, I think the weight loss has affected my medications as well. frust8 963 Posted March 27, 2018 And you feel not the best after surgery, sometimes you have buyers regret, you feel like you are trapped in a dark scary forest. You can't for a while see the beauty of each tree. But with the sunlight of getting healthy & feeling better, you start to be able to cope with your new life, it's okay and you're okay too.[emoji106][emoji106]Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
