ElseeG 67 Posted March 21, 2018 (edited) Hi everyone. I had surgery on Monday. I had so much pain from the gas, I thought it would never end. Now it’s two days later and I have chest pain when I swallow and stomach pain/soreness when I get out of bed. I been following liquid and Protein intake instructions. I’m seeing MD tomorrow. Might it just be heartburn? Edited March 21, 2018 by ElseeG
Suzanne A 5 Posted March 21, 2018 First of all....congratulations on your journey!! Now.....are you walking? Best thing you can do for gas pain. I am 6 days out and have set my phone alarm to remind me to get up and walk!!
Miserable 27 Posted March 21, 2018 Yes, very very normal! It will slowly lessen each day and eventually disappear. It took me a few weeks. Hang in there!

I’m walking regularly. So much so that I went To to a museum here in Dallas today...
Bhageerah 161 Posted March 21, 2018 Just like what has been stated it is normal to have gas pains several days out. I was having them up until about 4-5 days out. If you are having second thoughts then please talk to your Dr at your appointment just to be on the safe side. It may not be gas pain and it is better to be safe than sorry! I know my surgeon pretty much told us to call anytime and there was no question that was a dumb question!
ElseeG 67 Posted March 22, 2018 Thanks. I’m seeing my surgeon tomorrow. I have a list of questions for him, like this pain. 1 logicwand reacted to this
