Mattymatt 491 Posted March 21, 2018 This one recipe I found looks good. I still have a week before I can try it: https://www.foodcoach.me/recipe/italian-chicken-puree-bariatric-pureed-diet/

humblebeast 8 Posted March 21, 2018 How long did it take you to get to softs?
FluffyChix 17,415 Posted March 21, 2018 Ha! IKR? Dunno. Think the magic words were: Are you SURE you didn't just stick a scope up my ass, wave your magic wand over my tummy and say, "Poof! Tummy leviosum, be gone!"? Cuz I can swallow liquids like a big dog and if I tried could gulp--only you told me not to. To which she laughed, told me I was doing famously and that I could progress to fork tender soft foods. Completely bypassing the pureeds in a triple dog dare sort of move! 2 meli81 and domi reacted to this
Mattymatt 491 Posted March 21, 2018 I think I am going to have this discussion with my surgeon as well. I really am dreading puree ....
Apple203 1,314 Posted March 22, 2018 I go straight to softs, too. But not until 2 day weeks of Protein Shake misery. LOL, at least I have figured out how to manage them with 64 ounces of Water.< br>
calvinrn2011 3 Posted March 22, 2018 One of my faves is mashed potatoes with fat free sour cream and cottage cheese. I despise cottage cheese. But in the potatoes I don’t notice it.
TakingABreak 2,733 Posted March 22, 2018 I lived on Soups. I had already bought a Vitamix and got good use out of it. Vitamix has TONS of recipes on their website that are smooth soups and would work great for the pureed stage. You don't need a Vitamix to make them. I'd just recommend listening to your blender and chopping things smaller if needed. Also, you will need to warm the Soup in a pot after blended (Vitamix warms it for you). The butternut squash soup was my favorite. I used GENEPRO unflavored Protein Powder and it was delicious. I also suggest using Bone Broth instead of Water to add additional Protein and flavor. I recommend checking out their soups, they will make your week so much easier. https://www.vitamix.com/us/en_us/Recipes/Butternut-Pumpkin-Soup?referer_st=&sc=recipe
