I am sure there are several threads about this but when I try to search a gazilion threads come up. I am post op day 6 and on full liquids. I noticed that I can easily down a cup of Jello or pudding in 10 min without a problem. I don’t feel full at all. I have stretched it out to 20 min but doesn’t make a difference. Also since I can have cream Soups I made some cream of potato and was able to eat 1/2 a cup in 10 min easily. I still never feel full. Is this normal?

Yes, it is: everything you're having now is in the "slider" category, so it isn't going to make you feel full. Once you are on solid food, you will notice a big difference in this.

I hear you! I also forget to wait to drink 30 minutes AFTER eating. (Or to stop drinking 30 minutes BEFORE eating). I'm able to drink immediately before and after eating without any discomfort. The only thing that made me feel really satisfied at this stage was mixing my Celebrate Protein Powder with milk. I'm on the pureed stage now and have found that mushed up scrambled eggs make me feel full. Don't worry, it will change!!

Completely normal. Your restriction will come as you eat more solid foods and dense Proteins.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
