My Surgery Date was April 23 so exactly 1 month ago today. For Vitamins they recommended 1x each day and evening Flintstone complete chewables until I see the surgeon June 5th . How are things going so far ??

My advice so far, follow exactly what they tell you and give thing time give your body time to adjust, each of us is different and although time may tell you that you should be at a certain place in the process you body may not be ready. I should be on fork tender Protein starting this week, but I am still on ground texture/soft food. So although its frustrating I am just giving my body the time it needs to do what it needs to get healthy.

Best of luck on your journey. :)

I had my sleeve on 4/16/18. My start weight was 270. I am down 20 pounds so far with 2 stalls lasting a week n a half long. Everyone is different. Take ur time and I'm learning to be patient. The weight will fall off. Try increasing liquid intake such as Water and protein...that's what I do once I hit a stall. I was hoping for better results by this time, but I'm ok...my body went through a drastic change and has to catch up. The doctor seems to think I'm doing well so I'm not worried.

I was sleeved on 4/27, I am in a vicious stall. Only 25 pounds so far and most of that was in the first two weeks. I am guessing it is because I am still under 600 calories, but I am still on two Protein Drinks a day and 3 oz of soft Protein so there is no way really to increase calories yet. Just has to wait it out, but it is hard to go through all of this and not see the results.

I hit my first stall basically at my 1 week post op. The needle really didn’t move again (except for the same lb) until just shy of my 4 week when I dropped 4 all at once. At this point I’m actually still eating mostly soft foods but have started branching out to “real” foods.

I’ve also stopped weighing myself daily. While I’m not exactly on the same day I’m trying to limit myself to every few days as I’m needing some sort of feedback as I figure this out.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
