The Bariatric 45 is pretty complete so you don’t need to take a bunch of others. So you get triple the amount a Vitamins a day than what bariatric 45 offers. I've noticed that straight out of the bottle they taste like they smell. But when I put them in my weekly pill reminder they taste better after sitting. I only have to take one B12 a week to make sure I'm getting the extra amount. I also have to take Vitamin D for 6 months. most bariatric patients are Vitamin d deficient. I have to alternate 2 to 3 Calcium every other day because I'm a woman still with ovaries even though I had a hysterectomy.

I am having trouble eating/drinking enough hydrating and Protein due to pain and nausea. I spent yesterday in the emergency room getting fluids. I spoke to the surgeons and they have told me just to try to get in whatever I am able to. They also told me to take simethicone for the gas. Sorry to hear about the ER trip but I DEFINITELY relate to the nausea, I was sleeved on 4/4/18 and I am still dealing with nausea. My doctors keep refilling the anti-nausea patch that lasts 72 hours, I just keep putting new ones on every 3 days as well as taking Zofran (anti-nausea) 4mg regularly. This has helped me be able to stay hydrated as well as get my "meals" in. If you're still struggling I would ask your doctor about one of those options, or both. Best of luck! ElisabethE 13 Posted May 1, 2018 Thank you. I just got another refill of Zofran, but I may see about the patch as well. Luckily I’m not taking the pain meds any longer. Just Tylenol.
DaystarDreams 3 Posted May 1, 2018 Hey all ! Sleeved on Friday 4/27. Oddly enough I feel pretty good! I didn’t have any gas pain, no vomiting. The pain is more like soreness. I have been getting fluids in and Protein, my follow up is Thursday where we discuss Vitamins and moving on to puréed foods. I keep wondering if something is wrong that I am not having any of the symptoms I have read about.
Mnhcb 2 Posted May 1, 2018 @DaystarDreams I am like you no symptoms. I asked the doctor was something wrong. He said no I was just one of th lucky ones and that means i will heal faster. I had no probalmss gettingmy liquids in after day 3/4. I never had nausea or vomiting, THANK GOD and KNOCK OM WOOD. I’m in purée/semi soft stages now and I will go to all soft foods on Wednesday. ccon4t 3 Posted May 3, 2018 I was sleeved 4/30, only 4 days ago. First day was a bit painful and annoying with gas, but since then i've been walking more and feel fine. Today I ran some errands and drove for the first time. I'm curious if anyone is on a one week liquid diet. I have only had Clear Liquids since Sunday and I'm feeling hungry. I called the doctors office and they said it's normal to feel hungry but just keep the Water intake up. After reading many of these posts it seems a lot of you guys start Protein faster than me. Just curious why this is...
RHCD 241 Posted May 3, 2018 ems067 - I’m impressed you’re already eating normalish food. We’re sleeved the same day I am struggling get my liquids in let alone Proteins in. I don’t get soft foods until 5/19. I’m hoping some different things I ordered help me get there as some of the stuff I bought before and had no issue with are either tasting funny (bone broth) or giving me a bad reaction (protein Water with whey isolate). Good news is I’m taking no pain meds and haven’t since Friday night. I still am getting up every few hours but that’s not unnormal in my household.

Just curious why this is... I was sleeved 4-3. I was on clear liquids for a week, then added milk Protein for about 3 weeks. I was supposed to have started soft/pureed on Monday but I haven't been getting my fluids (I pulled a muscle in my stomach hauling trash), so my Dr postponed the next stage for a week. DesertGirl 14 Posted May 4, 2018 I was sleeved on 4/30. I was sent home with pain pills. I crushed the first one. That didn't go down so well! After that I went to children's Tylenol. I'm still having pain so I'll be calling in the morning for liquid pain meds. I can't sleep at night because of the pain. And gas!! Oh, it's in my shoulders. So bad! I walk a ton, drink as much as I can stomach, and still the gas won't leave. I've already had my first BM. At least that went well. Today's liquid was 49 ounces. So I believe I made my goal, but need to work on increasing to 64 every day.It will all be worth it. Don't give up! 1 baribetty reacted to this

I am staying on top of my meds (liquid Hycet) which helps with the pain and sleeping. They gave me stomach binder which has helped be supportive to my torso, sitting up is really painful. I’m hoping this subsides soon, I’m feeling kinda sad about how bad I feel after feeling so great. HW 289SW 262VSG 5/2/18 Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin

Frustr8 7,886 Posted May 5, 2018 FYI Miranda and Christine the anti nausea patch which is usually scopalamine, will give you blurry vision and in some cases a headache. As the old carnival barker said "you pays your money, you takes your chance"! 💙And a hug for each of you. Frust8
sherlocked7437 1 Posted May 5, 2018 Is anyone else on one month of clear liquids (w/protein shakes every two hours) or is that just me? Sleeved on 4/
