ydorodkin 6 Posted March 23, 2018 BMI chart was created 120 years ago, before people knew what we know now. Someone mentioned Arnold Schwartzeneger been obese. Doctors now know for a fact that muscle weights more than fat. My advice, do not decide anything right now forever. Set first goal and once you get there see for yourself if you want to loss more weight or you comfortable with what you have accomplished. I’m also 5’6 and my initial goal was 140. Recently I was reading more about goals and looking at BMI chart, so I decided to change my GW to 110. As soon as did, scale hasn’t moved and I became more anxious. My HW 287, surgery weight 264 and CW 187. Having to loose only 48 pounds is sounds so much more easier and realistic for having to loose 80 pounds to achieve “perfect” BMI. Weight loose is a process, see how you feel 3 months after you have surgery! 1 TripletDad reacted to this

To think I thought I was fat THEN... Exactly. I weighed roughly the same in high school and totally thought I was so fat. Now, my goal weight is 175.

Had to have a valve replacement, don't know if it was the pig one they put in years ago or another, but when he woke up from the surgery his first words" I'm Back"[emoji14][emoji38][emoji14]Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
