B_Lush77 30 Posted March 20, 2018 I had the DS or loop done 2/17/17 I lost 110 pounds in a year. But I also didn’t exercise like I should have. But I’m very satisfied with the results. Do to the switch of the intestines we don’t absorb a lot of calories or necessary nutrients so they feel the long term success is better. I don’t think it’s a standard to the amount of weight you lose. Every individual is different. It depends on your compliance and determination. Like they all say this is only a tool. I hope I helped 1 nycgirl18 reacted to this

Wellington4321 24 Posted March 21, 2018 You basically had a 2 step SADi. The VSG was step 1, and the intestinal bypass was step 2. I had the single loop (SADi DS) done in Nov 2014 and lost about 150 lbs in 10 months. The VSG takes the weight off, and the bypass keeps it off. It's lower risk and requires fewer Vitamins than a standard DS procedure. I'm not sure about any standard weight loss numbers. I lost 100% of my excess fat and it's still off in year 4. 2 Suwade and gladys2752 reacted to this
