shedo82773 1,236 Posted March 16, 2018 Defintly keep an eye on it. In fact I would at least let my team know what is going on. You want to keep them in the know. Be sure to keep up on your fluids. Congrats on having your WLS!! 1 FluffyChix reacted to this

FluffyChix 17,415 Posted March 16, 2018 I agree with @shedo82773. Let 'em know. Mine was let them know any fever over 100.4 or any low grade fever lasting longer than 24 hours. I ran a 99.somepin on and off for about 2-3 days during the afternoon and early evening. Then it would go away. Someone said that's often a result of anesthesia. So I did a bunch of deep breathing work and coughed my toes up and hocked a few lugeys and felt better! Hope that works the same for you. Drink lots of fluids! Do any of your incisions feel hot to the touch or look redder?
williamsk39 9 Posted March 16, 2018 Yes post op your body is responding to surgery and its expected to have low grade temp between 1-3 days. If you are worried call doctor to be on the safe side.Feel better!Sent from my LGMP450 using BariatricPal mobile app
LaLaDee 519 Posted March 16, 2018 Yes, I was having fevers and chills the first 3 days or so. It's pretty normal. Your body is in shock. Keep an eye on it and see your surgeon if it doesn't stop after a few days.
Lee2 4 Posted March 17, 2018 My incisions are not hot or redder.I called the Dr. She said I should do the breathing exercises and walk.Definitely call back if reach 101.5To be honest I don't feel well enough today to walk. When at hospital( past 2 days I've walked 3 miles daily)Sent from my LG-H901 using BariatricPal mobile app 1 FluffyChix reacted to this

Thanks Sent from my LG-H901 using BariatricPal mobile app As others have mentioned, keep an eye on it. I would say that if it climbs above 100.9, please get to your local ER. FluffyChix 17,415 Posted March 17, 2018 Feel better soon! Deep breathing really helps if you don't have a spirometer! 1 VanessaKaye reacted to this
