melsabells 64 Posted March 16, 2018 I knew that the dry mouth was expected. I’ve tried biotein and it helps a bit. My lips are very raw and nothing I have is helping them heal. Any brand that helped you out? Also, after I got to my room Wednesday my mom noticed I had a slight black eye and light bruises on my neck. Did anyone else have this issue? FluffyChix 17,415 Posted March 16, 2018 Oh man on the chapped dry lips. I get it! Keep it slathered with lip balm. Someone mentioned Vaseline Jelly? Hang in there! Wow on the black eye and bruises! Did you ask your doc? I'd def pursue that!
James Marusek 5,244 Posted March 16, 2018 After surgery, you take a daily blood thinner for awhile. This is to prevent blood clots. But it also make you more susceptible towards bruising.
shedo82773 1,236 Posted March 16, 2018 For your dry mouth I use CARMEX. It is the bomb. Just keep putting it on. Great stuff. I'm not sure about the bruises, might want to ask your Dr.
Mhy12784 423 Posted March 16, 2018 Vaseline is king for your lips especially if used twice maybe 3 times a day. Biotene hasn't helped much with my dry mouth, though it does help. 1 FluffyChix reacted to this
angyplus5 470 Posted March 17, 2018 Do you have a patch behind your ear? If so, that dries all saliva up to prevent nausea. You can take it off but use glovesSent from my SM-G930VL using BariatricPal mobile app
frust8 963 Posted March 17, 2018 Would they have put OP's head in some sort of head/neck clamp to keep it rolling from side to side? I hope they use a pillow or even sand bags on each side of my head.Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
