Do any of you have hair loss?

Recommended Posts

I’ve had alittle bit of Hair loss recently and I know with trauma or sickness we can lose our hair. Do you guys have any tips on Hair growth?

Oh soooo much Hair loss. I'm collecting it. I will either make my own hair bump? Or else I will make a tiny little generic voodoo doll that I will use indiscriminately with great whim here and elsewhere on Al Gore's Internet.

I experienced severe Hair loss at the start of 6 months post op regardless of taking all my Vitamins and supplements. My Biotin was increased from 5000mcg to 15000mcg per surgeon's order and I started using biotin & collagen oil on my hair especially in the bald spots. I'm 8 months post op now and my hair are growing back gradually. As long as you take all your daily vitamins and supplements hair loss during post op will be temporary instead of permanent.

I did, I began taking 10,000 Biotin a day at 3months POSTOP but it didn't make a difference. My Hair loss is just slowing down I'm almost 10 months POSTOP

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
