KateBruin 344 Posted March 20, 2018 So I’m one day post op. My preop weight was 289. Just wondering how much weight can I lose. My surgeon wants me to get down to 170-180. Is this possible.Anyone had this procedure long ago or lost lots of weight. What did you do to shed the pounds?I was 267 and currently weigh around 177. Sleeved end of August. I think I look like I’ve lost more because I’ve put on a bunch of muscle. I will say I tracked every calorie at first but now do intuitive eating since I’ve had complications and I work out twice a day 5 days a week. But I also have Hashimoto’s so I think I’ve possibly had to work harder for the loss.
Polymorphing 60 Posted March 20, 2018 I asked my surgeon "how much weight am I expected to lose?" and he said, "all the way to your goal weight". Just because people ON AVERAGE lose 70% of their excess body weight, doesn't mean you should measure yourself up to that. Try to reach your own goals, and many people have. I think it's because that last 30% is completely down to your food choices, and that 70% happens relatively easily. 1 jess9395 reacted to this
fitmamacoco56 1 Posted March 20, 2018 Reach your own goal I know people who have lost al excess weight and I know people who have gained it all back! You will lose as much as you push your self to lose ! This is just a tool! I had rny and after 6 months my weight loss slowed down a lot ! Like 1-2 pounds a month ... so it all depends 1 jess9395 reacted to this
