lisa_hawaii 1 Posted October 30, 2007 Okay here is my issue - I got banded sept 12, '07 i felt like i was ready for my first fill at 5 wks which my Dr gave me. From what I nderstand, I have a 3cc band (seems like i may be wrong after reading so much about the 10cc band) and I got 1.5cc fill. (dr told me he filled half of my band) I felt really good for the first 2 days -- now I feel like my restriction fluctuates. some days I can eat EVERYTHING and other days i cant eat anything. example - friday night i went to wendy's had a small chili AND a hand full fries AND 4 nuggets THEN an hour or so later i ate a hotdog YES I WAS BINGING -- i ate it all with very lttle pain - the next day i couldnt eat anyhthing!! which was good because OMG i ate sooo much the night before!!! it was my first time eatig bread (the bun) so i am thinking that it was still in my pouch and blocking anything from getting through - i have no idea where i came up with that but it sounded good i was able to eat later that night very little and i did not have any problems with liquids so here I am confused -- not understanding why i can eat anything some days and nothing other days and do i need another fill or not?? :help:
Karen H 0 Posted October 30, 2007 i am very very tight in the morning... literally start with Water only. A few hours later, I can drink my Protein Shake. Then, lunch, maybe a little more. As the day progresses, I can eat more, but it takes time. Can't remember the last fry I had (ok, I took one of my kids' fries last week), and it got stuck. Take it slow... chew a million times over and wait between bites. Oh, and before/during/after my cycle, it's even tighter. Nope the docs don't mention that one (but, for me, it's very very true). Good luck and take it slow
juliegeraci 7 Posted October 30, 2007 Oh the joy of the fill wonderland. You are not alone. The band is fickle. If you are hungry an hour after you eat my bet is that you need a slight adjustment. Even .1 ccs can help that. Just be aware that you may only be able to eat more soft foods if you go too tight.
