Apple203 1,314 Posted March 16, 2018 Interesting! I tried 5 oz Water per hour and its too much for me -- 4 oz per hour seems to work just right. And I mean to say, I basically slug an ounce every 15 minutes.
Mattymatt 491 Posted March 16, 2018 I called my surgeon because I was concerned that I could drink awfully quickly and still not get sick. By quickly, I mean my 11oz Protein Shake in about 15 minutes. Of course, I'm full afterwards but I was concerned that I might be causing a problem. Doc said that if I am not nauseous or vomiting, it's okay. Each person's tolerances are very different.Sent from my Z981 using BariatricPal mobile app 2 Apple203 and FluffyChix reacted to this

This will change dramatically when you move on to pureed and soft foods. Right now, just focus on only eating the amounts that your program suggest. For me I was having 2-3oz every 3 hours. Sleeve1stFitNext 924 Posted March 16, 2018 Remember, each sleeve is different and a different size. Some can take Water better than others. There are Sleevers whom can drink endlessly without any issues but feel the fullness when eating solid foods. 1 Apple203 reacted to this
mamamc32 132 Posted March 16, 2018 Don't worry - I felt the same way after surgery. It's a blessing to not feel sick and to be able to get in your fluids and protein! You'll feel your restriction when you start on more solid foods.

I struggled during that phase too. I was also one of the people who's hunger didn't seem to subside much. I still struggle, but I've learned extremely good self control. Otherwise I would find myself grazing. It does get better and when you are hungry, it won't take much to satisfy that hunger. By the time you are on a regular diet, it will be a thing of the past. Yes, I feel no restrictions from liquids, not from Water, Protein Drinks, Jello, yogurt, Soup etc. But as soon as I ate meat, chicken, beef, pork, one ounce has me completely full. Are you sure you are feeling stomach hunger vs. head hunger? My first week I thought I was hungry, but then I realized I only felt hunger when triggered. Seeing food, smelling food, commercials etc. Once I eliminate the triggers, I'm nearly 100% hunger free. 1 FluffyChix reacted to this
