I was in the hospital for four days with high b/p, fever and poor spo2. Everything is a lot better except with sleep pains. Does anyone know any tips to treat some of the sleep pain. Hydrocodone doesn't seem to work much.

Sorry you had such a rocky start. Could the sleep pains be entrapped gas? I imagine you didn't many chances to walk with the fever.

I pushed myself to walk about 12 times a day bit I think you're correct. I'm taking gas x and my stomach is making so intense sounds but it's not releasing it much.

Ha -- my stomach is noisy, too! I guess keep walking and sipping and things will settle down! :-)

I am having trouble sleeping as well and this is despite the gas. I hate to say this but you and I may just have to power through. I managed to find a semi-comfortable position but it still is not that great. Are you allowed to take Tylenol? It is not an NSAID and it does seem to help reduce inflammation some which in turn reduces pain.

I have hydrocodone and I've only been taking 1/4 of my dosage. But this morning I tooky full dose and I feel a lot better. But of course my period started this morning too and that's causing me more pain.

Many people find it difficult to sleep in bed immediately after surgery and instead sleep in a recliner for a couple day.

I wish I had that option.
