etc. etc. etc. 440 Posted March 19, 2018 (edited) What's kind of weird is that, coming out of surgery, I weighed myself every day to see how much I was losing... But these days, I could probably weigh myself once a week for that. But I weigh myself every day anyway, now to keep track of when I need help to poop. "Hmmm, I'm up two pounds, even though I've stayed on my diet... I guess I haven't pooped in like five days... Probably time to take a stool softener." I shall copy it and paste it on my bathroom mirror! "Have you had a good poop lately?" TY! 1 Bhageerah reacted to this
Bhageerah 161 Posted March 19, 2018 I take 4 per day, two in the morning as well as two in the evening with meals. I am 7 months out and I started them about a month ago. Dr told me to take magnesium since it is a smooth muscle relaxer, I take two of those a day at the same time I take my psyllium. Magnesium was not working on its own, so I added the psyllium without any issues whatsoever. Of course I have to drink plenty of Water and lets just say that I will not be going back unless my surgeon tells me to stop. They work extremely well, and I can tell when I do not take them. They have worked miracles!!! 1 FluffyChix reacted to this
xbadwlfbb 57 Posted March 24, 2018 I use benefiber in my drinks if I remember to. But usually 1 ducolax once a week is all I need. I find it not too harsh and I feel tons better after going. 1 FluffyChix reacted to this
domi 237 Posted March 26, 2018 I'm using Metamucil. It's orange flavored and I just add it to my Water intake once a day.

frust8 963 Posted March 29, 2018 Colace is also good and I had absolutely no problem with Miramax but I guess some people do. You might also get a box of Smooth Move Tea, usually in big box stores near the herbal and regular teas, and it's almost a certainty your local health food store will stock it also. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app I tend to get constipated more often than the average bear. I had problems when I was in grade school. I can imagine the last thing we want is to hurt our stomachs by pushing to eliminate a Lincoln log! Thank you for the excellent suggestions!
