will the ninja blender work for pureed foods?

Recommended Posts

I'm finally approaching the pureed stage and wondering if the Ninja blender I use for shakes will work for pureeing food...

Thoughts?

TY!

I have used my ninja to make a couple of puréed foods. I have the food processor attachment and have used it for bean purée and have also made applesauce and carrot purée. It works well for making a chicken pate as well When I made a 3 week out version of chicken salad. So yes, a ninja will work for you.

I am not to the post surgery stage yet, but I do not have a blender. It seems most like the Ninja. Which version would be best? What attachments, what models? We have a small kitchen, but I do need a blender and will after surgery for sure. Thank you so much!

I have a ninja and had the worst time during the puree phase. It seemed like everything turned out either over liquid-y or not enough. Maybe I just gave up too easily. I was only on it for a week so I concentrated on Soup and Protein Shakes. I have a Vitamix and I love their recipes on their website. Almost all their Soups are smooth and would work for that phase. I particularly recommend the squash soup! And you don't have to have a Vitamix to use their recipes, any blender would do the trick. I premade these soups and froze them until I reached my pureed phase, and I didn't have to cook the whole time.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
